What is Emotional Intelligence Certification?

EQ-i 2.0 Certification gives participants the tools to assess emotional intelligence in their workplace and creates reports and recommendations for improvement. It is a powerful tool to have in an executive coaching skillset.

EQ-i 2.0 Certification is achieved through a mix of online tuition, individual learning and virtual classroom delivery. On completion, students will be able to:

  • Describe EI and articulate its importance
  • Describe the constituent parts of EQ-i 2.0 and EQ360 and understand the science behind them:
    – Also defining composite scales and sub-scales
  • Interpret an EQ-i 2.0 (workplace leadership and group report and EQ360 assessment)
  • Administer the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ360
  • Prepare for a feedback session
  • Demonstrate how to manage an effective assessment debrief session
  • Explain the benefits of EI to client groups and how EI applies to different disciplines
  • Identify resources available post-certification
  • Assess which report type is appropriate for their client.

Using the EQ-i 2.0 Tool.

This diagnostic tool is the world’s only scientifically validated tool for the measurement of emotional intelligence. It is used to accurately define a team’s or an individual’s emotional intelligence, shining a light on strengths and the areas that require development. Students will learn how to administer the EQi-2.0 tool and the debrief reports that result from this assessment.

This report offers an accurate assessment the individual’s EI providing strategies and recommendations to create a robust development plan.

The EQ-i 360 Report

This report uses testimony and feedback from throughout the client’s life. This builds on the self-report and then asks the same questions to a varied group of raters who also provide feedback to build a 360 degree view of their emotional intelligence.

Support beyond certification.

Upon completion of the course, participants will see their online learning portal transition to an administrative portal, enabling the generation of reports for clients. Practitioners will also be invited to join Think EQ’s online coaching community. Here you can access:
